Master Plan 2020

Dear Jennings County Residents,

The Jennings County Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of creating a new five year master plan. We will first be looking at the current inventory of the planning area while also reviewing and researching recreational trends and standards. Soon we will be reviewing issues, site plans, and maintenance issues.

You are encouraged to participate in the research and planning process. The first half hour of each this year's Park Board meetings will be designated for master plan review and public input. All meetings are the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Jennings County Parks and Recreation Office and Visitor Center at the Muscatatuck Park. Meetings start at 5:30. Additional meeting time and additional meetings will be added as needed.

A general itinerary for the process is as follows:

This is the best opportunity for the general public to get involved in the county's Parks and Recreation process. Although planning is always an ongoing reevaluation process, the five year plan sets up the agenda for spending for the next five years. Now is the time to be heard, so feel free to speak up. Large and small concerns will all be reviewed.

The Muscatatuck Park website will be involved during the planning process as will our Facebook pages (Muscatatuck Park, and Eco Lake Park). Meeting information will be presented in this open and accessible form. Contact: greg.jcpr@frontier.com, 346-2953.

Thank you for your support and insight.
